My thoughts exactly! Yuck!

Have you ever had a Hershey's Tropical Bar? I don't even know if they make them anymore but in the seventies when I was a boy scout we would get them in day hike meal packs at summer camp. They were designed not to melt in tropical temperatures. They are small, hard, waxy and not very chocolaty. It was better than nothing but if I had my druthers, I'd druther not have one if I can have something tastier.

Just think of all the money they will save No FDA to worry about(well none here either I guess)
And if its got a little contamination problem...nothing a few $$$$ in bribes wont fix.
Not to mention 30 cents an hour for labor compared to american wages ..
Its just a win win all around.Surprized they didnt go for china .....

Yes, they came in SP packs (sundry pack) when I was in Vietman. I think I was the only guy in the platoon who liked them so I got plenty.

I never thought I'd be in a positon to defend Bill Clinton, but NAFTA was a bi-partisan, widely supported by dems and repubs. I've come to realize that all the dem vs repub stuff is just a distraction. It's the ruling class vs the rest of us. We need a third party in a bad way. Unfortunatley the govm't and the media won't let that happen. We're pretty much screwed. (See Whiskey Thread)

This past week Mr.Obama visited Canada and it was reported that one of the main discussions would be N.A.F.T.A. I am nervous just thinking about what ammendments could be added to that monster to further damage the American working man and woman. Mike

http://www.hersheys.com

I just wrote them and said I will no longer be using their products. It's heartbreaking, what was more American than Hershey's.

Remember the Peppermint Patty commercials of the 70s? Will they bring them back and update them?

When I bite into a York Peppermint Patty, I get the sensation of .... oh, *censored*, I can't afford them since my job went away.

-or-

When I bite into a York Peppermint Patty, I get the sensation of Montezuma's revenge.

-or-

When I bite into a York Peppermint Patty, I get the sensation of hostility since I just paid $0.85 for an American product that is no longer made in America.

Milton Hershey must be spinning in his grave to see what greed has done to his endeavor. As I hear it told [lots of car and engine shows in the Hershey area plus lots of retired hershey workers around yet]. He was 100% All America. He created the orphanage, medical center and personally knew most employees by his/her first name. The one older gent I spoke with years ago said Mr.Milton as he called him, would go out of his way to stop him on the tractor and ask him how he and the family were doing. This guy's job was mowing the grass around the facility. Greed intertwined with current economics only asks from afar,"How can we get this menial work done any cheaper?" Getting to be bit too cold and clinical for my liking these days. Mike

Yep, unfortunately, thats happening to more companies than I can count. Are those "4 million new jobs" that Obama is going to create, for US citizens, or will they be for mexicans?
