We are installing our used Alaska top vent stove. Neither the stove pipe (6") or the damper fits tightly to the stove. Is there a special fitting we may need? The OD diameter of the pipe from the stove is 5 5/8". Any help is appreciated.

It sounds like you need 5 inch pipe??If the outside dia. of stove exhaust is 5 5/8,the inside(where your pipe SHOULD go) mite be 5 inchs?then you can reduce or increase pipe dia. from there, make sure you are NOT assembling pipe upside down,if you were to pour water down chimney, not a drop should escape, nother words,as the pipes comes down from sky, they should be going inside the lower one, hope this helps,i could be all wet here??anybody else? :argue:
