Parts on Sunday

I just fround my upper feed gear busted, don't know why the pin din't break. I'll need a new gear and outer tube along with a new shear pin tomorrow. I live in Blue Bell PA outside of Philly. My local dealer (Lutiz) does not provide parts on the weekends. the unit is a DF520.

Do you have the hand crank? Maybe you can keep the fire alive by hand feeding the coal until you get the needed part. I have one you can borrow if you need to. I'm a couple of hours north of you. We could meet somewhere in the middle. Let me know.

The burnwork broke in two parts with the metal worm ring in many parts. More than a foot of the ring is missing. Can't see how the shear pin did not break?

The unit is 20 years old. I replaced the lower worm about 5 years ago. Jim Croll is placing an order for me tomorrw and I'll pick it up in Emmaus in the morning. I'll need the the following:

Burner worm & Bushing
Burner end pipe
Couping, I guess the split pipe will be the better of the two?
And a few new shear pins, maybe the one I have is a little to strong?

Be sure to check the bottom of the bin and the coal pipe to see if you didn't suck in a piece of steel.
