Cutting the Deficiet

So Obama, a week after spending at least $800 billion, now wants to cut the budget deficit in half within 4 years. This statement comes well before the US government is even done spending money trying to fix this financial mess.

Glad I am already poor so those huge tax increase won’t hit me. I feel bad for you rich folk. Change you can believe in is on its way!

Massachusetts is helping the bad economy by DOUBLING the tolls in Boston tunnels & Pike exits, adding 19 cents to the gas tax (which will put us at OVER 43 CENTS PER GALLON!!!!), & cutting funding to every city & town in the state. God forbid they cut waste & corruption on Beacon Hill! That's the Democratic way: tax the *censored* out of the hard working population & give free rides to illegal immigrants & deadbeat losers who work at collecting welfare!! WTF!!!!!!!!!


Now Dems control the Federal Gov't! SPEND SPEND SPEND!!! WEEEEEEEE!!! Can't wait to see how we'll be doing in 4 years!

Why is everyone exaggerating these tax increases. The temporary tax cuts put in place to help the economy out after 9/11 are going to expire and revert back to the levels of the 1990's If I remember right the rich folk were doing pretty dam well back then. When the republicans took over the the national debt was about 2 trillion. When Obama took over it was about 9 trillion, an increase of 7 TRILLION dollars. If that is what passes these days for republican conservative values I'm glad I bailed from that party 15 years ago.

Oh and that's not mentioning the fact that the first 700 billion 'bailout' of the fat cats was under the republican watch. I forgot the heads of all those companies needed their multi million dollar bonuses, no questions asked. We can't have those poor boys going hungry even though they ran their companies into insolvency.

I'm an independent but more than willing to give this president a chance to try to solve OUR problems.

Why?...Because they want to return to the reverse Robin Hood economic policies that they implemented........"Steal from the poor & give to the rich." (Do you realize that we taxpayers are still giving Exxon-Mobil huge tax breaks!!...Why???)

Yeah, I'm sick and tired of this trickle down economics bullshit. It's getting to feel like someone is pissing on my forehead.
Let's not try to solve the big problems heading our way, healthcare will take care of itself. Yeah right, tell that to the auto industry they're spending more on healthcare than sheet metal, but it's not a problem. The medicare prescription plan passed by the republicans is a few years from implosion but that's not a problem either. Let's all take care of those poor, misunderstood wall street executives that created this mess. The working class, you know those people, the one's that do most of the working, fighting and dying for this country can fend for themselves while we subsidize the rich and famous. They all need new Ferrari's The ash trays in their old ones are full.

Speaking of those executives accepting corporate welfare (and were put on notice last night that the entitlement attitude they have isn't going to fly under the Obama administration)...anyone read Maureen Dowd's column today about the Northern (dis)Trust Bank and their shenanigans after accepting federal bailout money given to them by the Bushco administration?

So far I haven't seen anyone in this administration talk about free health care, just affordable health care. Affordable health care benefits every citizen and business in this country. On the other hand executive bailouts take our tax money and benefit a select few. Most of whom already have more money than God.

I think the bottom line for me is this simple question:

Considering the incredible deficit spending of a Republican President & a Republican "Rubber Stamp" Congress for most of the last 8 years (financing Nation Building & no-bid contracts in Iraq, etc) Does the Republican Party (or Rush Limbaugh...or Fox News) have the Bona fides anymore to lecture us on their "Suddenly Remembered" fiscal responsibility?

(It's not just me asking that obvious question, but a majority of American voters)
