The idea of putting them in the rooms you want coolers is that those radiators only heat when the water is circulating. If a room with a new valve calls for heat, and no "non-valve" room is calling, the water is not circulating.
im sure the 50 dollars he quoted me is for the cheapest ones.

well in my house I have one zone when that thermostat drops below set temp all the radiators begin to heat and the ng boiler runs forever and ever ....

And there Pal, it the real reason you should just spend the 800 bucks and get the job done right-- the new system will pay back in a very short time as the boiler will, no longer have to heat the whole system every time you want your warmest area to stay warm -- the Danfoss valves will limit the energy radiation into the house by limiting the flow in to the controlled radiators (read that new zones. You will effectively take your one zone house and make a 17 zone house -- not bad for an 800 dollar investment

You will be heating less of the house - less often- and using less energy -and that nice NG boiler will run less ;)

Key work here = LESS --- translation = YOU SAVE HEATING BUCKS

i didnt really think about it like that before. Each room its own zone. that would be expensive to do without the danfoss valves. that is a great idea sting
