House Of Cards

Seems like most here, as well as everywhere else, have been very interested in the subprime credit mess. CNBC produced a two hour special that did a real good job of explaining in layman's terms how the financial system got to where it is today. It's not a 'put the blame on this one or that one' so if you're looking for ammo for the R vs D argument you won't find it in this special. If you're looking to try to understand how this mess got so out of hand you might want to watch.

It's on CNBC again on March 15 at 9 PM Eastern and March 29 at 8 PM Eastern.

Thanks for the heads-up on this.

This American Life this past weekend had a great episode explaining the credit and banking crisis in an easy to understand way. If you have an hour to spare, it's a good listen http://www.thislife.org/Radio_Episode.aspx?episode=375

Here's a decent article that touches on the mess. I like to see comments based on this article. Are the bankers wrong? The borrowere? Or Both?
