Anyone in NJ need bagged coal? I'm going to Scanton PA next weekend (12-15). I'm picking up 2 tons of bagged pea for $240 per ton. I have room for two more tons.

Let me know,
Bill

Scarecrow,

Bulk is alot cheaper. Especially for you since your so close. If you only need one ton I would call for local prices on bulk. Instead of driving to the breaker.

Looks like Lutz is close to you. Give them a call. I don't know anything about them.

Anybody using coal from Lutz in a stoker?

Link to coal near you.

I've tried, but they only carry nut. I can get stove size, but I want to try Egg to see if there is a difference in burn in my basket.

if you want anything locally larger than stove you will need to get Bit and even then it will be difficult because very few people burn bit around here

I can see that. I've called EVERYWHERE in W. Mass and N. Conn. No one has Bit and no one carries Egg Anthracite. :(

I'd like to find coal in Northern Wisconsin....... My zip is 54848...... I'm willing to drive several hundered miles to get it myself...... Looking for bulk coal. Probably rice, as I'm going to be running a stoker.

I've found two guys selling rice coal in bags, but it figures out to between $300-340 per ton which is just too much......

You're not too far from me. The only coal I've found for less than $300/ton is Bituminous in Lacrosse for $190/ton......... Which is what I'm going to do...... Bituminous and a Will-Burt stoker........

Try Steve at Cornwall Coal in Corwall NY. We purchase buckwheat from him and it is very hard, hot burning coal.

Thanks for the link. That goe son the list for next year. Saddly... this year I need delivery and that is too far unless I get 23 tons... which would heat my house for 5 years.

Hey, you could always consider it an investment against future price increases!

I saw this in anotherhttp://nepacrossroads.com/about8303.html#p84116 and if I recall from my time near Albany, it's isn't all that far from you:

Genral property maintenance on RT 5 in New Hartford. It's blaschak they have about a ton left.So call first,It's in 40# bags.$7.00 a bag

Hopefully they've ordered more stock.
