My son has an F-350 mason style dumptruck. This dumptruck can be hired for a reasonable fee when I drive up to the coal region. I would be happy with bituminous or anthricite. I am close to Bucks county, Pa. I am willing to travel for quality coal. Would anyone have any idea where I can obtain a list of coal suppliers in northeast Pa? Thank you, Jim

We live in Greensburg, Pa - 60 miles south east of Pittsburgh. Can anyone tell us where we can buy anthracite? We were told somewhere in Somerset but it sure would be nice if it were a little closer.

I got info from Keystone coal (I think they are kimmells) with a reasonable trailer load price, I just can't afford the whole trailer.
They will ship any size and mix the load. I'll PM you with my info I'm in Oakham

Thanks

Jim:
Clems in Spencer has Kimmells one of the best prices I've found but it did not burn well
Agway in Holden has Kimmells also but they just went way up on thier price

The Hardwick co-op also had it, don't know what kind, thought they were a little high when I asked this fall
I found out the hard way winter is not the best time to buy coal

I live in Central Maine, just outside of Augusta, and am paying $280 to $320 a ton for Kimmels. I am starting to look at next winters supply and would love to get some superior pea coal delivered. I can not afford or store a triaxle full, so that is out of the question. I am looking for someone in the Superior mine area, that comes to Maine once in awhile and may be willing to bring along a ton or two when they come up. This could work into a long term deal if you come to Maine often enough. I need at least six tons before next winter. I'm not sure what Superior pea is selling for right now, I thought I saw somewhere around $140 a ton at the mine. If you are interested, let me know what you would charge to bring it with you. Thanks.

Hello, I am new to coal and need some good anthracite.. I am in rural Michigan and have an oil furnace. The begining of the heating season oil was over $4.00 a gallon. It is under $2.00 now.. but I went kinda crazy and bought a cool old coal burner with mica windows. It is a show piece of sorts and I like it. I did not think it would be so hard to find good coal. I have looked and looked. I grew up in Michigan on the west coast of it. We had a coal furnace when I was young. The coal man would back his narrow truck up to a basement window and shovel it in. Well, that is a memory because it sure is not happening now. Ok,, so I need your expertise on this as you here are in the know..
Where do I go to get a ton of coal delivered to me. I am near Hudson Michigan.. I can borrow a pick up from a friend but it will only hold about a half ton..
Thank you,
Oola

Oola, I don't know where to get a ton, but if you want 24 ton, that can be done. Double Run trucking 1-877-263-4129 They do not deliver less than a full semi truck.

Hmmm. well that is a thought. how large is that and how much will it cost. i would be interested in a coal cooperative .. it is hard to tell who burns coal and who does not.. We (my husband and I) have thought of getting a truck to drive to a mine to buy some fresh stuff..

Southern Maine Coal

PostBy: jockel On: Thu Feb 26, 2009 8:15 am

Hello,

I am looking for a delivery of four tons of bagged rice in the Portland area. I have been happy with Reading Red but would be willing to try another brand.

Are there any delivery agents in this area?
