Jockel,

I live south of you in Wells. Last Friday I picked up 2 tons of loose Stove/Nut mix coal in Lebanon ME for $290/ton. They will sell you any amount you want. Bring your truck or car and even 5 gallon buckets. Their name is Lebanon Coal and is off of Rt 202. It would be about a 45 min drive for you.
PM me if you have any questions.

Where can I pick up coal ?

PostBy: AA130FIREMAN On: Tue Mar 03, 2009 7:04 pm

Is their a good place to pick up my own coal instead of delivery ? How much do you save a ton ? I am near hamburg pa. My old neighbor said to stay away from READING ANTHRACITE, he had nothing but trouble with it. He now has someone deliver coal, said it comes from higgins. THANKS

I like Meadowbrook Coal in Lykens. 717-453-7922.
This late in the season, you could get a ton and try it.
If it doesn't suit you, try someplace else this summer.

Southern Maine

Just paid a visit to Lebanon Coal on Saturday. Picked up a 1000 pounds of rice in bags. Not a bad price at 7.60 a bag for Blackshak.

This should last us until first of May at the least.

Jockel,

PM me when you need more coal. IF my dump trailer is empty I will haul a load for you up to 5 tons if you spring for the cost of my diesel fuel.

Coal in Michigan...or northern Ohio

PostBy: the ponz On: Mon Mar 09, 2009 1:22 pm

I have been burning coal for the past ten years, that is while living in Kentucky.

I am now living in the Detroit, MI area and am looking for a source of anthracite.

Any help in this quest is appreciated.

Hi Everyone,

I live in malone N.Y. and was wondering if I could get a list of coal dealers in the area. I will be using buckwheat,or rice. I was wondering what would be the closest coal breaker in nepa to malone?

Thank you, Joe

Generally speaking they are all a short distance off of I-81. The first one would be Hudson off the Pittston/Dupont exit.

Southern Maine

We are just finishing up the season having gone through about three tons of Reading rice in bags.

Wanted to plan a purchase of five or six tons of bagged rice to be delivered in the fall. Is anyone arranging a truck or railcar coming to southern Maine for late summer or early fall this year?

Anyone in NW CT looking to split a full load?

PostBy: mtoo On: Sat Mar 28, 2009 5:01 pm

I'm looking for a 1 or 2 coal burners in NW CT (or nearby Mass or NY state) to go in on a full load (22.5 tons) of Superior rice coal shipped in bags. I will have to jump thru some hoops to get it done but it can be done. It will be shipped bulk to a bagging plant in Pa, bagged and palletized in 2500# skids (50 bags/50#) and shipped here. The tentative shipping destination will be 06098 or a nearby zip. I don't have the ideal unloading location but i do have something doable. The cost would be slighly less than we are paying for mediocre coal here but we would be getting a better product.
Send me a PM if you are interested and i will give you more info.
