You know what scare the &^*% out of me. Most every country is doing the same thing. Only those who have assets and didn't spend it all will get to pay for it. Then their kids, grandkids, etc.

Trillions, just how much is a bloody trillion and I thinks it's now 3 of them!

Makes one wonder where it all went.

Has anyone done a physical check and inventory of Fort Knox lately?

I would be curious how much gold is still there.

The Gold doesn't back up our currency, Nixon did away with that. It is a Fiat policy now.

I know.

There is only a perceived value of a FRN.
A FRN is nothing more than an I.O.U. that in the end is worth nothing.

Fort Knox is rumored to have 147.3 million ounces of gold.
At $1,000 an ounce it's only $147 Billion.

The 216 million ounces of gold under the Fed Reserve in NY is mostly owned by foreign governments, central banks and international monetary organizations.

It all comes home when you think of it in terms of pallets of $100 bills. More realistic, would be $20s, but the page maybe
just is not big enough fit them all.

Here's another interesting thing i heard last week about millions and billions. There are a million seconds in 11 1/2 days. A billion seconds is 32 years! I'm not even going to try and calculate a trillion.

We all understand what a thousand dollars is. What is a million? It's hard to comprehend because none of us has a million dollars. A billion might as well be an item they serve at a French restaurant. Well let's break this down, I am going to give you a million dollars to spend on anything you want, ANYTHING!!! 8-) Here's the catch, You must spend a thousand dollars a day, every day no days, off no vacations, no sick days, no nothing. you must spend a thousand dollars a day! How long will it take you to spend a million dollars? Now I am going to do the same thing for you again!! This time I am going to give to you a Billion dollars to spend on anything that you want!!! :D :) :P Here's the catch, You will only get the same thousand dollars a day to spend on anything you want. Now how long will it take to spend a billion dollars? ..... Ok does anyone want to try a trillion the same way, one thousand dollars a day. tired yet? Remember we all know what is a thousand is.

Well using the engineer's scientific notation it's easy:

One thousand = 1000 = 10^3
One million = 1,000,000 = 10^6
One billion = 10^9
One trillion = 10^12

See the pattern? ^ means raised to a power of.
So a room 10 ft x 10 ft is 10^2 = 100 sq ft

At a spending rate of $1000 a day

One million would take 10^6/10^3 = 10^3 = 1000 days
One billion would take 10^9/10^3 = 10^6 = 1 million days

See how easy it was? :-) What's your answer for a Trillion $. Remember when dividing you subtract exponents.

End of math lesson.

So you would have to spend a thousand dollars a second for 32 years to go through a trillion dollars. It won't be so bad, pretty soon the new trillion will be a quadrillion the way they are spending the stuff. :D

If I gave You one million dollars a day to spend it would take almost three thousand years to spend a trillion dollars. Think I am bulls-----ng you, do the math! Hope and change have turned to fear and despair. :(
