When I went out side this morring it smelled like trout season, that smell you get when your 9 years old and on the Bald Eagle out by Millesburg Pa with your Dad, on the first day of trout, if I could only go back 50 years.

.....and I thought you were talking about the farmers that were spreading the 'liquid gold' from our dairy friends on the soon to be vibrant green fields.

It sure is nice to see the deer out munching, foxes running around briskly, thousands of birds arriving, the snow slowly succumbing to the warmer days (we still have plenty), and a pair of osprey hunting down by the river. Makes us all wish we could fly.....crocuses popping out on the southern side of the house.....the muddy driveways and roads......I digress.

And I thought you were talking about something completely different.

I get the same smell here in Pa. whistlenut, My neighbor was out the other day spreading. Guess I should go up & get some fresh stuff for the garden before I turn it over.

We have "that smell" here year round. It doesn't bother me too much though. I'd much rather have that than live in a city
