Have you guys checked out House Bill 45? They say it has little chance of coming to a vote but in today's upside down world who knows. If passed it would require the registration of all hand guns. Not a rumor, but an honest to god House Bill. Go figure. Maybe there is reason to be a little concerned ... wait - how can you be a little concerned. You're either concerned or you're not. :D Pesonally, I'll be concerned. Lisa

California passed a bill that restricts ammunition sales, it awaits the Governators signature, AB 962.

Beware what comes to pass even in other States as the Socialists always point to these bastions of idiocy as examples of successful ideals.

Among other regulations, AB 962 would:
• Ban all mail-order and Internet sales of handgun ammunition.
• Prohibit the retail sale, the offer for sale or the display of handgun ammunition in a
manner that allows ammunition to be accessible to a purchaser without assistance of a
vendor or employee.
• Require that the delivery or transfer of ownership of handgun ammunition occur in a
face-to-face transaction, with the deliverer or transferor being provided bona fide
evidence of identity of the purchaser or other transferee.

That evidence of identity, which must be legibly recorded at the time of delivery, includes:
• The right thumbprint of the purchaser or transferee.
• The date of the sale or other transaction.
• The purchaser's or transferee's driver's license or other identification number and the
state in which it was issued.
• The brand, type and amount of ammunition sold or otherwise transferred.
• The purchaser's or transferee's signature.
• The name of the salesperson who processed the sale or other transaction.
• The purchaser's or transferee's full residential address and telephone number.
• The purchaser's or transferee's date of birth.

The bill is on the desk of Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, where it awaits his consideration. He will have until Oct. 11 to sign or veto the bill. If he does not veto the bill, it will become law.

Read yesterday that ammo companies are working 24/7 and still can't keep up with the demand. Poeple are hoarding ammo by the boxes.

Demand for ammo is up 25% IIRC. At least Obama has stimulated one industry to do well. :)

**Broken Link(s) Removed**
Americans usually buy about 7 billion rounds of ammunition a year, according to the National Rifle Association. In the past year, that figure has jumped to about 9 billion rounds, said NRA spokeswoman Vickie Cieplak.

First of all I wasnt a fan of Bush either but I feel he was the lesser of the two evils which wasnt a very good choice either way. You leftys don't seem to get that. Just because someone isnt a fan of The Great and Powerful Obaaaaaaamaaaaa (echo) doesnt mean that they were happy with the the last administration either.
FYI, I'm all for a 3rd party and term limits.
Book mark this thread and we'll re-visit next year to see if you still feel all warm and fuzzy.

Yes, and the point of that spear in that pairing is halfway there already. :)
