Good point but don't hold your breath for an answer.

Actually, they pay me to read their contracts because they either don't have the expertise or don't have the time, or both.

See the analogy?

I do see the analogy.
We pay our elected officials to do the same.

Since you are so desperate to make sure we stick with the original subject of this thread Mike......Have you actually even read the 35 articles of impeachment formally filed against GW Bush on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives? I suggest you read them because those impeachment articles spell out many of the reasons why this country...( & the world for that matter) is in the trouble it now finds itself in & many of those articles are felonies under U.S. Law & War Crimes under In't. Law.
In actuality, Jon & I have never wandered from the subject at all & if you care to refute any of the impeachment articles on its own merits, I will be happy to oblige.

Edit: BTW, your premise for...... "As a reminder, the subject is "don't blame GWB, not "how the democrats were duped by evil republicans". That's what you want to argue."....is NOT the subject of this thread. Read the topic title again.......It starts with the accusation "Its the Democrats, Don't blame GWB!!".....Therefore refuting that ridiculous charge ( most importantly...already decisively refuted by the voters) is exactly ON SUBJECT.

um....no. "Impeachment articles" and "how the democrats were duped by republicans" is not the subject.

I don't mind changing the subject but Jon accused me of going off subject. Clearly I did not.

I will read the impeachment articles.

Ok, I skimmed through the articles of impeachment.

1. The basic premise is that Bush went to Iraq under false pretenses. There is simply too much evidence to suggest that everyone in congress and the previous administration prior to the invasion felt that Saddam Hussein was a threat to global security. He was thumbing his nose at UN1441 and the UN wasn't looking out for US interests. Congress approved Bush to act. He did. Basically fraud or malfeasance cannot be established. Everything was on the table. The intel was bad, and interpreted badly, but not fraudulent.

See what happens when congress doesn't read the bills before they sign them?

2. Dennis Kucinich is a nutjob. The democrats know it and find him embarassing. Here's proof from a liberal perspective newspaper....

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/co ... 03087.html

From that article:

As they have previously, Democratic leaders staunchly oppose Kucinich's impeachment effort. They expect to table the resolution by referring it to the Judiciary Committee, where they expect it to die.

Dev, it was an election, not a trial. Bush was going to be out anyway. Impeachment is out of the question, now. Obama isn't interested in going after Bush. Cheney and others maybe. BHO knows it's a distraction and there is scant evidence of wrongdoing against Bush.

If the media hadn't unfairly run down Bush as a result of their misinterpretation of Bush v Gore, there wouldn't be such public animosity. The media whipped up a frenzy over every thing Bush did. They throw Obama slow pitch, special olympic, low sting, softballs while they pitched Bush blistering Nolan Ryan spitballs. Dems have been holding a grudge for 8 years. Basically, they have been childish malcontents.

Sorry Mike...Wrong again. I think anyone who was being the slightest bit honest with themselves would admit that last November's election was indeed a trial of the Bush Administration & that the "Jury" found them guilty on all charges.
(are you going to seriously argue that GW Bush was not such a pariah to the Republican party that a sitting President was not even welcome to come to his party's nominating convention?)
If you aren't willing to admit that obvious fact Mike, you really are to much a a Republican partisan to even attempt to reason with.

Additionally, you failed to respond to 14 Impeachment Articles which had nothing to do with the Iraq War & yet stil represent crimes (felonies) against the United States. Do these somehow just not count in your world?

I guess you didn't get the memo....Kucinich is nuts. The dems didn't support his articles....twice.

Obama beat McCain, 53-46%. It would have been a hung jury in legal parlance for a "criminal" trial. I don't see BO on this wiki list:
The greatest modern landslides in the United States Presidential elections
1920 - the greatest percentage point margin in the popular vote (Harding 60.3% to Cox 34.1%).
1936 - the greatest electoral votes difference between winner and opponent (Roosevelt 523 to Landon 8).
1964 - the highest percentage for winner (Lyndon Johnson 61.1%).
1984 - the highest number of electoral votes (Reagan 525).

The press never asked Obama anything tough. They backed him from the beginning because they wanted a black liberal presidential candidate. They wanted to "live the history". They wanted to prove their tolerance and liberal mindedness. They had the power to trash Bush, they had the power to glorify BO.

McCain was an also ran from the beginning. He was too old and too grumpy. I called it when McCain went ahead in the primaries. I knew he would lose. Obama was black, handsome, and teleprompter/softball pitch eloquent . It was a race between a liberal and a part-time liberal. The best liberal won.

No....He is Congressmen Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) & just because YOU call him nuts doesn't make it so. (funny...He thinks YOU'RE nuts....Just ask him :P )

mikeandgerry wrote:The dems didn't support his articles....twice.

Because they had no guts....They should have.

mikeandgerry wrote:Obama beat McCain, 53-46%. It would have been a hung jury in legal parlance.

So it was a real squeaker of an election eh? ( A virtually unknown black man beats a long-time, war hero Senator in a real close election eh?...Talk about revisionist history!....& how well did the rest of the Republican candidates for office do in this "Trial" we had in November?)

mikeandgerry wrote:The press never asked Obama anything tough. They backed him from the beginning because they wanted a black liberal presidential candidate.

Funny...I don't remember Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Fox News, Laura Ingrahm or anyone on talk radio endorsing Obama. (Can you give me links to that?)..I do admit that being a black has always given you the "Edge" when running for President in this country though.......Right? :gee: (especially if you can come up with a crazy Reverend too help you along)
