hi, my town is saying that I need proof of UL certification for my gilbraltar stove before they sign off.
i have the manual and it has all the setbacks, and there is a metal plate affixed to the back of the stove with the setbacks as well.
What I cannot find-- either on the stove or in the manual -- is proof that the stove was UL certified.
Nor can I find a list of UL certified stoves.
and from what I can tell, gilbratar is no longer in business.

Any help here? anybody know if these stoves were certified, and if so, how I can prove it?

thanks

What model do you have? My CFS has a plate on the back that says UL 82 tested.

What model of Gilbraltar do you have? I have the LCC model, let me know if we both have the same units and I could take a picture of my plate for you.

unfortunately I have the SCR model. but thanks for the generous offer.
Also, I did try to send a pm to coal berner -- but -- and I assume this is my own ineptitude -- the results I get seem to show he is inactive -- and I realize he is a prolific contributer.
so any help in reaching coal berner appreciated too!

Yes! I can see the reference to the natick mass on the metal tag but the rest has faded badly! Yeah, if somebody would be so kind to take a photo of the tag and send it to me, I can at least show that to the town. it would be truly appreciated. thanks everybody for all your help. my email address is [email protected]
