I have a Godin 3733. Worked great for 10 years. Moved and couldn't use it, so loaned it to a "friend." I moved again, and could use it so got it back. The firebrick is chewed up so bad that there are holes in it all the way to the metal casing in the firebox, and there is actually a hole in the casing. [I think he just overburned it without the barometric baffle I gave him.] I need to replace the whole firebox, or maybe just the firebrick. Any suggestions, and any idea where to get the parts?

Thanks.

You can just buy the firebrick from anywhere that sells stoves & cut it yourself.

Would be very cheap & easy.

The only proper repair is to remove all the brick and then build a form of sheet metal and fill it with castable refractory.

Not easy to do and a lot of work since there is a secondary air port in the brick plus the flue opening.

I would look to buy another stove in good condition.

Godin firebrick is curved to the barrel and thicker than our American 1.25" block. There is a dealer in Canada. This is the only place I know. And I did a tremendous amount of research last year. Good Luck.
