Does anybody know if a Van Wert Boiler is 1 piece like keystoker or 2 piece like and efm.I can get one for free just did not look at it yet, a friend told me about it. It is still in service used as an oil burner but the coal pot is in the corner with everything fully intact.the guy getting rid of it just wants a more efficient burner and the reason he don't convert back to coal is because of his age. any input will be greatful thanks>

From my last conversations - these days they build the stoker and buy the boiler from a third party.

Do not delay in aquiring that unit. They are one piece , repairable and burn buck. What more could you ask for. Oh yeah,,, they are self cleaning :) Scott

:D I had no input on that decision, I was only about 10 or 11 when it went in about 81 to 83. Pretty sure it might be one of the last ones produced. I do remember installing it though because me and my father did a lot of the work. No idea if it's one or two piece except to say it went into our house as 1 piece.
