Hello. I think they call that a "hermephrodite" don't they? LOL no half girl (stoker) half man (handfired) LOL We currently have a hitzer stove in our basement and we are going to purchase a stoker for the upstairs portion of our house. We are currently leaning towards the Keystoker 90 or 105 or the Leisure Line Poccono. Aside from the customer service of leisure line being top notch and readily accessible on this website, is there a preference between these two stoves (keystoker vs leisureline) Any pros/cons of the two. And while I know that neither ones glass is going to stay clean, does one stay cleaner than the other? (not an issue with me, but a big issue with my wife!) I know these questions on stove purchases get repatitious so let me thank all that reply in advance. Thanks!

I too am half and half. I went with the Leisure Line Pioneer. I liked
the simplicity of the stoker, the coal trol and the good customer service.
You'll find that in the fall and spring you'll be more girl than man. I don't
think that I'll need the hand fired till the temperature stays below 32 24/7.
The stoker just rides the temperature up and down. The hand fired was always
too hot with two or too cool with one.
What ever you chose, I know you'll like the ease of the stoker.

WOW. 110,000 ! That sounds good to me! Do you happen to know if the price is going to go up and if so by how much?Leisure Line wrote:Hi 6268,

Yes, sorry to say all prices are going up. We will have new pricing as of May 1 09. With the coal-trol being a standard item, it makes our stove a better value.

Anyone know what type of stoker mechanisms these stoves have. Are they the same? Also I have seen the poccono in pics on this site and it looks like the stoker/coal bed is way up front almost on the glass. Again, I know the door is going to cloud up no matter what, but is this more of an issue with the poccono? Also anyone know the size/difference in the ash pans.
