DVC 500,

Hi,

The gentleman I spoke to was not a foreigner, and I didn't have to repeat myself several times.LOL. The first question that he ask was where I brought the unit? I quess it was a polite way to say call the dealer. When I told him the situation I had he was offering suggestion. The dealer I brought the unit from is a super guy and will bend over back wards to help me out , but he probably would have called like I did to get the info. It stats on the stove not to down size so that what I'm going to do to be safe. Hope the holiday was good. Good Day, Joe

I called harman, Very polite, said they wouldn't recommend down sizing . they suggested going to 8". They said the gases wouldn't be expelled properly with the 6".
Joe, Glad you got an answer. I'm still amazed the number actually works! Was the person very knowledgable, or were they reading from a script? Could you tell if they were in PA or India?

Hi Joe, Thanks for the info. Thats good to know that they (Harman) are now willing to help the buyer. I guess this is a good contact to use if you don't buy directly from a dealer (IE. buying a used stove).
Thanks again.
