It's well established protocol that the POTUS does not bow to royalty. It was obvioulsy a bow. His "peeps" have blown it on a number of well publicized events. I'm not a fan of Obama but this is not his fault. If he doesn't get some close advisers who know their ass from third base though, then it's going to be his fault.
I think it would be more logical to assume that Obama is the highly educated and highly intelligent President of the United States that the people placed in office as a shining example of class and sophistication.
Such an eloquent and refined person should be quite versed in basic protocol for greeting heads of state. After all, we low-life coal burners seem to understand what to do and not to do as evidenced by your own statement. (see above, italics mine)
Nice try coalkirk and dev, but like Obama's point man, your wild explanation flies in the face of reality and good sense. Obama is either a naive fool or he felt obligated to bow. Hmmmmm.....why did he feel obligated? Is he closer to the arab culture than we realize? Barack Hussein Obama, with the middle name we couldn't mention. Perhaps it's more important than we realized. Just some food for thought.
