I picked up a used LL Pocono that is a few years old. I would like to add a coal-trol in place of the manual rheostat dials.
Two questions:
What model Coal-trol would I need? From my reading I think want the "Standard +" I have no power vent and im not hooking it to the HVAC system.

Also my stoker and combustion fan are wired together (see picture below) would I just seperate them out with there own plugs to hook up to the coal-trol ?

Hey Dave,

Although I do not have a Coaltrol myself I have looked into the wiring of this product for a previous project.

The question you are asking can be found in the installation manual of the Coaltrol website.

The link I am providing is for the standard model.

Probalby any would work, but yes, you would have to separate the wiring from the stoker/blower so it can control separately.

Look on the Coaltrol site, all the wiring, manuals, etc.. are online.

The Coal-trol Digital Standard or Standard+ would be appropriate. Standard+ gives you the Energy Star thermostat (4 weekday and 4 weekend setpoints, vacation hold). Standard has all the same features and capabilities except only two setpoints and no permanent/vacation hold.

We sell a plug kit for the CM2-4 that you can use to get your motors wired up for use with the Coal-trol. We highly recommend separating the combustion and stoker motors, though the Coal-trol can be put into "triburn" mode to work with a one plug stoker/combustion installation.

Give us a call at 315-299-3589 if you have any questions or when you are ready to buy. You can also order online at our website, http://www.coaltroldigital.com.
