problem on initial start up of Coal-Trol

The past three days I have noticed that the feed rate has been in the 80s and 90s (usually 99) and has overheated the house. The max rate is set to 40. What do I do to correct it? The stove is a Pocono.

Do you have the HLF setting set above 0? If so, please set it back to 0 and give us a call. 315-299-3589.

are the coal-trol's working ? no news seems to be good news ?

This is my first year burning coal:
I have a new Alaska kast console 111 with a direct vent I installed in November and added the Coal-trol last Saturday. It is running flawlessly. The initial settings for minimium and max feed are working well. I have never had to run my stove flat out yet.
The bride is very happy now she does not have to guess where to set the reostat any more. The temperature is +/- 1 deg. of set point.

. I like how the convection blower speeds up as the heat output increases. Would highly recommend the Coal-trol to anyone. If Neil could only get it to make the coffee :lol:
