There are no homes in America powered by "clean" coal.

This is what we are up against.

I haven't read this yet, but I saw ALGORE is involved, it will be interesting reading later: :D

This entry obviously is incomplete, there is no mention of his coal expertise.

I was just outside observing the "silent volcanos of death" belching from my silo-like chimney.

It is dirty and harmfull to the enviroment, that's a fact ! the answear is to get it to burn clean, which they are working on,I have worked on MANY scrubber projects at coal power plants .It's a start but we need to keep technoligy pushing ahead. We have coal lets use it to our advantage to get off oil, but we can't kill the enviroment to get their.[/quote]

I'm sorry,Scotty, but there are no "Free Lunches"...Bad Lunch#1 Be nice to Freetown Fred, and don't call him "dumb" . If Fred, who's normally a nice, decent and crotchity American Indian(aka "Tribal Brother" ) uses his "Old School Tracking Skills" on 'ya,you may just end up in front of the Union Hall with the words "GOP Fundraiser" across your back!(He's taken up crocheting and needlepoint in his old age to stay mentally active)......

Bad Lunch #2-If you've worked or gained a livelyhood from scrubber projects in the past, best not to put this years' Christmas on credit. Scrubbers aren't going to be too popular with the Corporate prostitutes that control this country's electrical production. Megawatt Generation Capacity is being retired throughout the U.S. in a calculated"Business Decision" approach to respond to Marxist,Leftist Green EPA Mandates on Emissions. China is very glad to see this,as they've been building Coal-Fired Super-Crits' at a record pace. Those Marxists have seen the light and have actually assumed a semi-capitalist role and have literally blown us out of the water as the World's Industrial Producer,Job Creator,World Big-Boy and Polluter. I'm sorry, but Parents having jobs allows them the money to throw at their kids' Asthma(Ref:Sierra Club Commercial on the tube) No Coal Use=Insanely high electric rates,no job,no food on the table,no table or house to have your non-asthmatic kids living in....you get the picture....Oh,and by the way,Cheng in Kunming,China called and said "Thanks" for Allowing your EPA to outlaw the propellant for the over the counter Primatene Mist Inhaler. They're now making it in China for cheaper, and the Chinese EPA said it's ok. Remember, for both the Chinese and Mexican EPA's,the acronym of C.A.S.H. is being used,in the spirit of a "One World Economy" !

Bad Lunch#3- Natural Gas Turbines are the way to go !.....Wrong...Seems no one remembers the skyrocketing Natural Gas Prices in the early 70's,after the lowball prices of the late 60's....I.P.P.'s(Independent Power Producers) use NG fed Combustion Turbines to produce Megawatts. They are the current darling of the EPA. When prices have fluctuated high, the IPP's simply shut down and ride out the storm. The old line coal fleet Utilities were always there to pump the National Electric Grid up. You will no longer have that luxury. These Corporate Guys aren't stupid. As a matter of fact, they're astonishingly smart. They know how to make money. It's their job. You will be paying more for Electricity.....Much more...When the Natural Gas Handlers choose the time to raise prices, blaming it on Market Forces, you will also have the ripple effect stab you in the wallet, and have Megawatt Shortages on top of it.......Hug That Tree,Baby...Hug It...Your 'gonna need it.

Bad Lunch#4 Nuclear Power Plants are bad,we must shut them down also ! Well......seems they're still on line in Japan. Seems their Government muzzled all the news outlets regarding bad publicity....Interesting. Here anything regarding Fukushima Daichi, the Suname or anything at all on a proximal, final body count, including those that have died in the months following ? Nope, not really......Without Coal, you're going to need more Nuclear...Again,no free lunch.....Think about it slowly....

Bad Lunch#5...Scotty,think twice before insulting the intelligence an old, knowledgeable hand like Freetown Fred...He defends himself, but I'm tired of offensive Liberal muppets coming here to cut their teeth on some of the old hands who've made this Board great. Matter of Fact, they'll hand you you Lunch right to you,and in the spirit of "No Free Lunch",they'll charge you for it.
