We need to get together with the Ruskies, keep just enough nukes to do unacceptable damage to each other but not destroy the whole world, and scrap the rest of them. Then maybe we can get rid of those last few dozens, and keep just enough to annihilate rogues like N. Korea if necessary. What insanity, to have thousands of those warheads in each country! Even if they launched an all-out attack on us, if I were president I would not retaliate. After all, we're already f*cked by the incomings, so why kill hundreds of millions more innocents in Russia by sending our bombs back? I realize that's a paradox -- the deterrent doesn't work if the other side knows you won't use it; but when it's time to use it due to an attack, it is too late to deter anything.
