LONDON – Stephen Hawking, the British mathematician and physicist famed for his work on black holes, was rushed to a hospital Monday and was seriously ill, Cambridge University said. Hawking has been fighting a chest infection for several weeks and was being treated at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge, the university city northeast of London, the university said.
"Professor Hawking is very ill," said Gregory Hayman, the university's head of communications. "He is undergoing tests. He has been unwell for a couple of weeks."
Doesn't sound good, just saw him the other day on TV and he was at the point he wasn't even moving at all. I'm not even sure I saw eye movement. Every time I've seen him on TV I'm always amazed.
Any how good luck to Mr. Hawking and hopefully he'll get through this, his death will be a tremendous loss to mankind.
. Seriously though, I made it through "A Brief History of Time" but I don't think I'm smart enough to say whether or not I understood it all. 
I heard he was expected to recover so that's good news. I'm a geek at heart and he is a bit of an idol. Glad he's doing better.
