Nope, not a joke:

"We need to be doing a lot more to reverse the global trend toward fatness, and recognize it as a key factor in the battle to reduce (carbon) emissions and slow climate change," the British scientists said.

Yes, but thin people are more likely to play sports...sports that use balls and rackets most likely made from an oil based product. Oh no!

Just maybe all humans should be baned, it seems like mother nature is very good of taking care of herself & was doing quite well until those pesky humans arrived.

That is on the agenda as well, someone linked to an article not too long ago suggestion the reduction in the population.

Check Please! I've had enough. As a fat man I can't take much more criticism. I get it from the doctor, from the girlfriend, from the familym, from other friends and now the dummy with the reusable shopping bag at Acme? Don't these people watch the history channel? The other day I was watching a program about global warming that touched on why there were ice ages and warming periods in the past.

One big answer?

Methane seeping from the ocean floor near areas like Santa Barbara California is allowing other gases to float to the ocean surface. From there it is into the atmosphere and viola we have "global warming" caused by that 350 camaro, I mean a natural event. O and Methane Gas is much worse then CO.

There is nothing we can do. Global Warming is not a myth however we can't stop the progression of nature. The earth has warmed and cooled many times over it's exsistence without humans help. We won;t slow down what is meant to happen, humans must simply adapt.

I don't believe the call for a reducation in population was related to global warming but to the perfect balance of humans to resources. In order to have enough food and resources for humans the population of the earth is stated to be most effcient at around 1.5 - 3.0 billion people depending on which scientists are polled. Current population is somewhere near 6.5 billion. Still an alarming statement.

Actually, there was a proposed tax in NJ that would be assessed to farmers based on a head count and charging some ridiculous $$$ per head for their entire heard. Not quite a ban, but wouldn't help the population any...

Exactly! Less than 15,000 years ago (not 15 million) right where I live, there was ice cover all year 'round. We humans had nothing to do with the fact that we no longer have ice all the time. It's as simple as that. Get over the "we're destroying the Earth" thing! One volcano does more bad to the Earth than humans ever thought of doing. It's nature!
