CIA (obama admin) Leaks Only Certain Torture Documents

The cia with orders from the Obama administration has leaked torture documents that were passed in 2002 by the bush administration. These torture techniques were approved by the very members of congress who want bush's head on a platter for the torture techniques that were used.

In the most recent instance, Director of National Intelligence Dennis Blair acknowledged in a memo to the intelligence community that Bush-era interrogation practices yielded had "high-value information,” then omitted that admission from a public version of his assessment.

The CIA via the Obama admin conveniently didnt release the documents stating that these torture practices lead to valuable information that saved 10 of thousands of american lives. I guess it okay to only leak what you want to.

How is it possible to pass something into law, then 7 years later take the bush admin people to court over it. Simply because Obama and the left wing disagree with bush admin polocies.

I would like to see what Obama would do if in the same situation as Bush was. I guess obama could smile at a terrorist or ask him kindly or bow to him to get high value information from the terrorist. But then again Obama might not care if the USA is attacked since he hates america so much and the greedy capitalist that make up america. I think he would be glad if we were attacked because it would teach us a lesson that we need to be nice to our enemies and show them respect they dont deserve.

How does everyone else feel about these torture practices being released?

Some interrogations produced actionable intelligence. I won't dispute that. What was the ratio of good intel to waterboards done?

What do you do if you water board a guy, say, 266 times and he just won't tell you anything?

Do you decide you got the wrong guy and release him with your apologies or do you decide he is a "pro" who has been trained to resist water boarding?

If the latter, then what? Start removing fingers one knuckle at a time?

Once you allow your self to start torturing people, how do you know when to stop?

I think we need to do what is necessary to get the information the terrorist has. if someone can survive being water boarded 266 times they are obviously a trained terrorist. We would of water boarded him 266 times unless we were sure he had information that would save american lives

You stop once you have obtained the valuable information. Torture needs to be on the table. If it is not our enemies will never give up the information we need.

And I will agree that we can do what needs to be done to get the information we need. In exchange, we can no longer pretend that the USA is better than any other country because we are some how more "moral" than anyone else.

It seems like Obama is spending more time trying to point fingers at the past and not looking forward like he promised he would. He's supposed to be above all that isn't he? If you are not prepared to do ANYTHING to "save American lives" then what's the point? If you REALLY believe a prisoner has information RE: the "ticking bomb" scenario, are you prepared to stop at water boarding?

Just like during the campaign, he is trying to be all things to all people. He wants to say one thing and mean another. Or say one thing on monday then change his mind on tuesday. It is pretty obvious he doesnt know what he is doing. or i take that back. i think he does know what he is doing. The media will cover up for him at all cost. So one day he can say he doesnt want the cia information leaked and doesnt want bush admin on trial, then the next day he can say he changed his mind and wants the info leaked and the bush admin on trial.

It really is a brilliant plan. But if your an obama lover youll only see what he told you on that day he spoke to you and not the day when he said something opposite when he was speaking to another group of people.

Frankly, I don't have a problem with human rights abuses in other countries. I'm worried about my own government abusing ME!

It is interesting that China gets "most favored trading status" and Cuba gets embargoed.......

We are better then those other countries because we arent killing innocent people in the name of religion. I would say that is dramatically different.

It's called a distraction.
If torture keeps one marine from stubbing his toe while getting off the landing craft, then I'm all for it. These people want to cut your head off on television. They deserve no sympathy.
