Just closed one local school. A kid and his family just got back from vacation in Mexico and the kid has "flu like symptoms". Just out of precaution, they are closing the school for a week.

Kids are going to be going to school in July due to everyone going bat guano crazy over this. Some districts in the country are closing until May 11 which is nuts.

One of the engineers that has been setting up the Mexico City plant has been in the hospital for two weeks. Anothers wife(who didn't go) is still on steroids trying to combat a "mystery" illness with "flu like" symptoms.

This isn't normal flu. We in America have had vaccines all our lives, our immune systems are supercharged. People in Mexico get none.

I'm not panicking.......yet. But I've read the stories of bodies stacked like cordwood because of the Spanish Flu. The possibility of things going really bad is real.

And that reminds me, why isn't this the "Mexican Flu"? Don't they typically name these things on the source? Does anyone remember the "Asian Flu"?

Check this out, too, to follow location of cases (although that's not too important in this illness):

I believe its called the swine flu because they believe it started at a pig farm. If its the right source its owned by an American Co. that naturally moved there for cheap labor, low taxes(but they still have to bribe the Mex. Gov.) tax breaks from the U.S. ( & they probably had to Br loby to get them) but the biggest thing was no more health & safety regulations. They might or might not be the ones, doesn`t matter just think of all the money they made for share holders.

I said a few days when obama told us not to be alarmed that he was lying.

Just today biden says not to be in confined spaces. No subway, no planes, no schools,

here is a tip, Mr obama tell us the freaking truth from the beginning.

The Mexican Flu

You spoke 10 hours too soon, Freddy. Maine is proud owner of 3 out of 50 confirmed cases, 2 more than our fair share. As for '76, you only remember one shot because shots 2 and 3 caused memory loss. At least I think so, because I don't remember '76 much at all, or '86, or '96, or....

Uh O - Is this just a made up flu so the USA can wipe all of our memories and make us think everytihng is ok? :o

When Biden was asked he stated that he himself nor would he want his family members to fly or take a subway right now or attend any enclosed crowded event. He didn`t say that about everyone in the country, thats your choice he was just directly answering a question as to his personal opinion.

At the risk of being labeled "To far gone to talk to" or politically incorrect, which I am, this swine flu stuff brings this to mind.
