If that is how he feels and doesnt want his family in confined spaces with other people then no one else should be in confinded spaces on airplanes or subways.

think about it. he knows exactly how bad the mexican flu is. He gets information and reports that dont make it to the public. So im sure he knows what hes talking about when he says no planes, subways etc...

I think thats exactly right except that he doesn`t know that much more than you or I, this flu keeps changing as do all viruses it could get worse or it might not. It would be reasonable not to expose yourself to anything if you don`t have to. You have to use some common sense, I had no desire to go to Mexico before this & I certainly don`t want to get close to anyone thats been there rencently. I can`t figure out why the parents of that kid that died in the U.S. would take their sick kid on a plane & expose everyone.

because people dont care anymore. She probably thought i dont care if my kid is sick, i have a flight to catch a job to get back to etc... she probably didnt want to be late for something or for her sick kid to mess her day up, now everyone around her has to suffer

Schools in Park City here in Utah are closed now through at least Monday due to possible swine flu (or whatever you want to call it). They are testing some sick students at this time.
Anybody here have their employer come out with plans of how to deal with keeping employees safe?

Don`t you always say that big business will take care of itself & in turn whats good for business is good for the country. Keep going to work when your sick, when you drop some Mex. can take your place for a lot less money.

His office doesn't agree with you. Or him for that matter.

The advice he is giving family members is the same advice the administration is giving to all Americans: that they should avoid unnecessary air travel to and from Mexico. If they are sick, they should avoid airplanes and other confined public spaces, such as subways.

Oughtta be a new thread: VP's as comic relief.

Start with, say, Spiro T. "nolo contendere" Agnew, then pick up Nelson "flip 'em off" Rockefeller, Fritz "I'll raise your taxes" Mondale, George "read my lips" Bush, Al "I invented it" Gore, Dick "dead-eye" Cheney, and now Joe "that's why they call it duct tape" Biden.

Hey, I think they have done a great job with Biden it took 101 days before he stepped on his tounqe. That has to be some kind of record for him. But I saw that interview & what he said & the way he said it can be taken several different ways I took it as a personal opinion for his family & himself as that was how the question was asked.

I`m sure you could look up the interview with Matt Lauer & listen for yourself & then decide. The longer this goes on the more thats put into it.
