This swine flu *censored* just got real personal. I just came back from the doc's and was tested for it. I've been pretty sick this last week. When I told the doc my symptoms he took a culture and told me do not go out of the house until Wed, or Thurs when they get the results back. My symptoms match the beginning of swine flu symptoms. No work until I get the results back but to make matters worse, NO COFFEE!!!! I'd rather get a kick in the balls than take my coffee away.

Probably because coffee is a diuretic. If he's got the flu, he'll be losing enough fluids. I had SOMETHING a couple years back and lost enough fluid to the point where my muscles started locking up on my. I finally managed to keep enough Gatorade down to bring my electrolytes back up and the spasms stopped. But I actually called 911 and had to sign a refusal when they got there. It was fairly concerning. I've never been that sick before.

Taking away your coffee is going to make you feel so bad, by itself, you'll think you are way sicker than you are. Headaches, weakness, irritability. Good luck!

So just have like one cup in the morning to help you; and drink plenty of liquids. I'm another caffiene addict but it's society's fault. I think coffee is the second biggest commodity in the world..
I had the flu a couple years ago too- it beat me right down. No puking, just ridiculously sick. Scary sick. Couldn't get out of bed sick. I didn't hesitate to drink Robatussin -- Robotripping I think they call it.
Just made some coffee, Yuban was on sale.

There are now about 3500 confirmed cases in the US. The concern is that the next wave of swine flu--perhaps occurring in the Fall of 2009--will infect many more people, and the disease could possibly worsen in severity. Three US deaths.

People..people,

The Government can't do anything about The flu or anything else. For the gov it's all about misdirection. The create crisis and scare tactics to keep the common folks worried about anything else but how incompetent they are. Wake up and vote them all out, no matter who they are. Show them that you matter and you are in control.
