Cleaned my 6" SS liner and the stove adaptor today, got about two pounds of flyash from the liner maybe a half pound out of the adaptor. Might pull the stove tomorrow to clean the area where the adaptor meets the stove. I put a bag over the liner in the fireplace then go up on the roof and bursh it out, keeps the dust down to a minimum. Also sprinkeled baking soda while I brushed the liner. Does anyone think if I put oil spray down the liner would it react with the ash in a bad way?

I had about an 1" of ash in the horizontal pipe going to the chimney, not bad for 6 months with no cleaning. I do clean out the stove ash pan area and as far back into the pipe as possible, but don't like to disconnect it unless I have to.
