It's a bucket a day boiler for heating domestic hot water. What's it size? Height x diameter. Supply and return tapping pipe sizes?

I have seen those or similar brand new for $500 - $800 on ebay.... probably worth around $300 to $500 to the right person if you paint it up purty.

I have one very similar, sitting in my cellar for the past 32 years. It was there when I bought the house. So so condition, I haven't examined it closely. If anyone wants to carry it off, it's yours. Need another project, Freddy?

I bought one off Ebay a few years ago for $10. I was the only bidder. Don't think there's that much of a market. I've since given it to J.C. (coalberner). Have you hooked it up yet, JC?

btu's, oval to round adapter & fire brick for a "bucket a d

PostBy: buickanddeere On: Wed Aug 05, 2009 11:28 pm

I have one of those wee units as well. Cast in Penetanguishene Ontario. Identical except the stack outlet is a true oval without the ears. And the three shaker grates each have an individual triangular end for the handle.
The firebrick inside is serviceable but I'm wondering if there is any "off the shelf" firebrick out there for future replacement?
What reasonable range of btu's is the bucket a day capable of?
The stack outlet on mine is 6" across the widest on the outside. The outside circumference is 16". Anybody know of an off the shelf adapter to a 6" round stack pipe.
I'm getting tired of the cold summer and the price of LP to heat the swimming pool. Plus I'm, thinking of installing a hot water hx in the electric furnace's furnace plenum for winter use. I'll just carry the stove out to the pool shed in May and back to the garage in October.
Paid $50.00 for it at the Barrie Automotive Flea Market about 10 years ago.
