sending Pm's

PostBy: Stoker6268 On: Sun May 03, 2009 4:21 pm

Sending PM's I have sent pm's in the past and had no problems but recenetly have tried to send several and it just shows up in my out box, nothing in sentbox and I never get a reply. Is this normal? Also it seems that when I hit send it does nothing till i hit submit twice. Is that normal?

PMs on this forum are a little different than normal email. The PM will remain in the OUTBOX until the recipient reads it. Then I believe it gets moved to the SENT box.

DVC500_at_last is correct, if it's in the "outbox" it means it hasn't been delivered yet or they haven't gone to their "inbox". There's no way to actually tell if they read the message, once it leaves the "outbox" it simply means it's in the recipients "Inbox". You can edit or even delete a message up until it leaves the "outbox".

Not sure why you have issues with the submit button but you should only have to hit it once.
....I'm hitting yet another problem that's based on the hopeless state of our databases. There
is no uniform data integrity, it's just a catalogue of issues that continues to grow as they're found
