Hot air jacket

Hot air jacket

PostBy: ErikLaurence On: Wed Jun 24, 2009 12:31 pm

We're considering getting a Hyfire 2 with a heat jacket for the house (this will be in addition to the Reading in the kitchen). Are there diagrams available for the heat jacket so I can start to understand how I need to integrate it. There's one photo on the website but it's not terrible informative.

Thanks.

Go to our web site and click on hot air jacket. It will show you how to tie into your existing hot air. If you do not have a hot air system, then you can run seperate ducts upstairs.

Depends on your current furnace setup, most run into the cold air return and suck the heat from the coal stove using your furnace blower. other setups have a large plenum fan in the top of the coal stove to move the air.

I designed my own, since I don't have blowers in my current furnace.

Each application can be unique depending on your situation and where you ductwork is located.
