UMCO 311

UMCO 311

My ex sister-in-law gave me this. They are settling her parent's estate, cleaning out the house of people that never threw anything away.

It's an UMCO 311, says golden oak grate #13 on the grate. I think it's a wood stove, but I'm sure I could get a coal fire going in it.

I haven't been able to find any info on it; have seen a couple UMCO 211. Too bad it sat in a damp basement for 30 yrs!

Definitely looks like a coal stove to me, does it have shaker grates, and pictures of the inside would be nice. Beautiful looking stove.

Yeah, It has a little shaker grate and a little door on the side that lifts up to gain access. Didn't come with the handle. No lining, I was thinking it would be fun to cut some firebrick into narrow tall sections to fit to the cast iron belly. Above that the stove is made of sheet metal.
