Hello Paul. Do you have a version of your Coal-trol that can be used for controlling the water temp in a boiler? I assume you would have to have a water temperature input from a temperature bulb in the water jacket instead of an air temperature input from a room thermostat/thermometer.

I'm planing on converting my hand feed boiler to a stoker-feed for next year, and I'm curious if you have a controller available or prototype on the bench??

I have an adjustable aquastat in my boiler now, but it is an on/off switch, like an analog thermostat. I'd like to be able to program the water temp so that I maintain only 130* or so during the day, ramp it up to 160* at night and for weekends.

Thanks Greg L

Hi Greg,
I'll try to help you out with a stoker (burner unit) in the spring. Just remind me about March.

We've recognized some demand for coal boiler controls and have started work on some prototype components for one and we made some necessary changes to the thermostat and control modules in this year's products to facilitate more complex usages, like boiler controls. I'm not able to say when or if we'll ever have anything for them available on the market, but it is on our radar and work is ongoing.

Sorry I couldn't give you something more definitive or helpful.
