NY Democrats don't stand for Pledge of Allegiance

there's only two words.... and thier not happy birthday to respond to that

I understand they have a problem there but to not stand for Pledge is absurd.

Maybe its just me but I have been watching the "fading away" of all the respectful patriotic behaviours that were tought us in grade school. on wednesday we wore a white shirt with red tie for
"assembly" we used to "pledge allegience" to the flag every morning before class started. we put our hand over our heart....

for politicians to act that way is deplorable. Was it me or were all those not standing and performing this charade black? it almost seems this was a white black disagreement from what i saw of the clip.

I don`t care what the issue was or party, race, gender or ethnic background, as an elected official they shouldn`t disrespect the U.S. by not standing. No excuse, they should all be repremanded at the very least. And this should be brought to the voters attention before election time, people have a tendency to forget.

I don't know about the whole country. Certainly New York State, though.

Bad,sad,and spiraling downward.I wonder how many of them have spent any time in the service,not many I suspect.If anyone spent time in the service nothing can keep you in your seat for the Pledge,not even the tug of your fellow elected "official" on your sleeve. It's not just NY and it's standard operating procedure for the Socialists.

Remember back in 2005 when members the U.S. Congress had a mock trial in the Capital basement?

They pretended a small conference room was the Judiciary Committee hearing room, draping white linens over folding tables to make them look like witness tables and bringing in cardboard name tags and extra flags to make the whole thing look official.Rep. John Conyers Jr. (D-Mich.) banged a large wooden gavel and got the other lawmakers to call him "Mr. Chairman."

He liked that so much that he started calling himself "the chairman" and spouted other chairmanly phrases, such as "unanimous consent" and "without objection so ordered." The dress-up game looked realistic enough on C-SPAN, so two dozen more Democrats came downstairs to play along....Conyers was having so much fun that he ignored aides' entreaties to end the session. "At the next hearing," he told his colleagues, "we could use a little subpoena power." That brought the house down. As Conyers and his hearty band of playmates know, subpoena power and other perks of a real committee are but a fantasy unless Democrats can regain the majority in the House. But that's only one of the obstacles they're up against as they try to convince America that the "Downing Street Memo" is important.
