Field Vent Riser question.

Field Vent Riser question.

PostBy: alaric On: Tue Jul 07, 2009 9:16 am

can i use a field vent riser along with the powerventer with a pocono leisureline stove-- i need to get the powerventer above grade and i dont think i will be able to without using one.
so i would be coming out of the basement below the 12" min, then using the field vent riser to get above that 12", then have the powerventer..does that make sense or is it not possible? The website hints that it is possible but when I search the forum I cannot find anyone who has done it.
thanks

We do not have the riser approved for coal and we do not offer it. I would look for another solution for the venting, possibly venting your furnace on the venter and using your chimney for the coal stove. Just speculating the you have a oil furnace.
Thanks for your interest,

Thanks for the reply Jerry. I have propane but do not have a mortar chimney. When ordering a jacket,,do they fit both top and bottom vented stoves?
Thanks

The jackets are the same, but a 6" hole is added to the top vent jacket. Best to order for the stove that you have, or keep a good sharp pair of tin snips on hand.
