Do you believe him or not?

Kind of a long time to sit in jail just for $$$ . But would it be worth it for 2.5 million? Or do you believe that he really lost it in investments?

Depends on the wife, if she was a do nothing gold digging pariah then definitely and not because of the money either.

On the other hand if she was an equal partner in the marriage whether perusing her own career or a homemaker taking care of the kids then he should sit in jail.

If he lost in investments he should be able to prove that?

Edit: I wonder if anyone in that position ever just went to the casino and blew it all? :P

I was wondering the same thing. I don't know all that much about investing, but I do have a 401K and EVERYTHING that happens with my account appears on my statements. I would assume that whatever investment company or firm he was dealing with would have documentation of his transactions or gains and losses.
