Hyfire 2 90 k burners

Hopefully Jerry you will read this. I have the hyfire 2 and the left burner does not match the right burner in number of feed turns equals size of fire.
I use those kids magnetic numbers to keep track of my settings on my stove. Presently the left side is set at 3 and the right side at 5 turns, and the fires are equal. This has not been an issue having used the stove manually for the 3 years I have owned it, but, I will be hooking up the coal trol to it any day now. As I read the manual on the coal trol, one of the first things you do is set the feed controls to max. Well how do you compensate if max on the left is not equal to max on the right, or doesnt it matter?
I have not received the coal trol yet, I ordered the basic model, but i am sure ther will be a lot of questions during and after the install.

When you turn your control knobs all the way in, you have now taken all of the adjustment out of it. With your knobs now, one knob is backing out 2 turns further then the other. This is why one is at 5 and the other is at 3. Each adjustment bolt was not put in with a CNC machine, but more like a center punch, this is the difference in the back out. When you turn the adjuster knob all the way in, they ( the shovels) will both travel the same distance. Max travel of the carpets is what your looking for and with your knobs (feeder bolt) turned all the way in, this is what you will get. If you would take the hopper off of the stove and look at the feeder shovels you would see that the distance for max feed is the same when turned all the way in. Your shovel adjuster will only go in so farand then it stops, but if you measure from the front of the shovel adjuster to the back of the adjuster , they are the same. Thread count does not mean anything, it is a variable. I know this is confusing, but it will work. Trust me.

Also, with the Hyfire, I would only burn 1 burner. When 1 burner will not do the job anymore, then I would lite the second. One burner at max seems to work better then 2 at half and it will cut back on electric. But you know what you need to make your house warm, just a suggestion.

i use one burner until I get to position 8 on my feed adjuster, then I light off the second burner, seems to work. We have had some very cold nights up here in the north part of the state lately. Was 18 night before last and 21 last night. I am anxious to get the coal trol installed so it will take care of these temperature extremes we have this time of year.

The info on the shovels makes sense to me now. Jerry, the yoda of lesiure lines, always has the good answer. Appreciate it.

Installed the coal trol basic and it seems to be workign as advertised. I still have some issue with the balance between left and right burners. With the feeds turned all the way in the left side is still burning more than the right side. I have compensated by backing out the feed adjust on the left side to balance with the right side. Is this a good fix or should I still leave them all the way in?

Work with your adjuster to make the fires even.

Thanks Jerry, got it and adjusted them so they were even when not calling for coal during extended time period.The leisure line is the best, add the coal trol and its even further seperated from the pack.
