Anthracite Rice coal in bulk delivered in western MA

Does anyone know of a trucking outfit that would deliver bulk coal to western MA. in smaller quantities? I am looking for 6 tons.

I don't know who might be delivering small/partial loads to western MA these days, but I'm getting a truckload delivery next week and expect to have about that much left over. I'm in Dalton.

I haven't decided yet on either the mine or the trucking. When I started to firm things up after that last post, I realized that most of the mines seem to be holding their summer pricing at least through August. That let coal delivery slide down the to-do list for a while, but I do hope to firm something up by the end of next week.

i just starting checking all the usually local bulk dealers and there prices are already more than last year.

Hello Mike, I was just checking to see if you ever found a supplier for your coal delivery. I am currently seaking out a supplier of rice coal for a customer I have. He is interested in me delivering him Anthracite in bulk via dumptrailer to store, resell and deliver in the Berkshire County area. If you have found a mine or supplier could you please let me know. I know this thread was started awhile ago ,but I am interested in the same thing. If you guys could let me know the places you found that would be much appreciated. I live about 45 min from Dalton in chicopee and am looking into the bulk delivery options seeing as I'm paying 300 a ton bagged. Just wondering if I could save alittle more money just had a baby. Tom, are you looking to get a few tons or an entire tractor trailer load? You will get MUCH better pricing with a full truckload.

How much is a full truck load? for right now I'm probably going to get just a couple tons because I still have almost a ton and that should get me through the winter, but I'm thinking next year I might want get a bulk delivery. $4500-5000 is the ballpark range for a TT load (avg. 23 tons) to your area. The final cost will depend on your choice of coal suppliers, and the trucking cost. You could probably achieve your goal of saving almost $100 per ton by getting a full truckload...but you to make sure that a 70' rig can get on your property, dump on a level surface, and not hit any overhead wires.

Remember not all T.T. are not dump bodies depending on trucking companies some may have walking floor trailer no need to worry about over head wires .

I used Hostetler Trucking, at the advice of "Coal Berner", for my bulk delivery. 24 ton. They used a trailer with a huge conveyor belt to empty it out. Cost me $38 per ton to have it delivered 400 miles from the breaker. Not bad, I saved a ton of money. If you call them, ask for Cathy.
