Thank you, Lisa. You make sense when you spread the blame a bit, rather than focus on "Obama is destroying everything". If you say, Washington D.C. is destroying everything, it is not as polarizing and we can focus more on individual issues. We really ARE all on the same team, us against them, though we don't always agree who is us and who is them.

Posting things like "Well Lisa you did it again , not only did you use a quote from an ultra conservitive source but you only told half the truth. The actual numbers for the poll were :

Dem 46%
Rep 29%
Ind 4%
Undecided 18%
Now do the math --wait I'll do it for you ---it comes out to 46% Dem and 51% non Dem I don't see how that skewers the poll 17% towards the Dems Now can you imagine that ?

You've gone that route before and I expect you'll try it again. Go for it! You don't seem to answer my points very often anyway, you just sort of talk around them. For instance I asked how an AP poll that had participants such as the one you quoted could be considered unbiased and you didn't answer. You changed the subject. I call it as I see it and I support it with facts. I see you as a big liberal who is unwilling to see past what the DEMS are telling you. That blind adherence to the DEMS is destroying this country. If I wanted that kind of an existence I'd move to China.

So stop guessing about my motives or my position - it's all upfront and it always has been - there is no way in this world that I'm ever going to agree with your point of view. I am a conservative and that's that; the smaller the government the better. I don't need Uncle Sam or Mr. Obama to tell me what's right or wrong or which medical treatment is best for me and mine or which Doctor will do it. I don't need an administration that has an energy plan that is going to "necessarily cause my energy bills to skyrocket." I believe the less government intrusion the better. It's strange how history supports that philosophy. Just look at the Reagan years or better yet look at the states that have had DEMS in charge for the last 40 years. Anyone want to move to Detroit? Anyone? How about CA? I find it shocking that you would support an administration or political party that "steals" the wealth you've worked hard to build for your family and distributes to those that have chosen not to work as hard as you have.

Oh and you can say all you want about the Republicans and the TEA PARTY but they have started to make a difference in how Washington is run - that's not going to change, in fact, even if Obama keeps the White House in 2012 he won't be able to do much damage when the TEA Party carries both houses of Congress. It's interesting how so many of the RINOs are moving back to the center right when they face the reality of a primary challenge. And who is forcing a primary challenge? Oh yeah, the TEA PARTY, go figure. Don't worry about us, we won't be fooled twice.

Might I suggest to the Tea Party members here that in order for the USA to be restored to a Republic, some to all of the below (which are not listed in any particular pecking order) will need to be implemented again (I.E., restored to how they once were). So please get to work in helping with the task:

1) Restore the right of States to freely secede:
2) Restore the election of Senators by State Legislators.
3) Restore the election of the President strictly by Electors chosen by State Legislators (not by a vote of the people).
(Though if a State chooses to use a vote in aiding its Legislators decision that is up to the States to decide individually)
4) Eliminate fractional reserve banking.
5) Eliminate the Federal Reserve System.
6) Return to money being strictly gold and silver coins.
7) Bring home all troops abroad.
8) Declare null and void all treaties and entanglements with foreign powers.
9) Privatize the banks, and eliminate Federal banking insurance.
10) Stop all social welfare programs (Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Obamacare, etc...)
11) Sell all Federally owned lands. They own well more 50% of the land west of the Mississippi, and much to the east of it also.
12) Privatize or eliminate all Federal parks.
13) Eliminate all government subsidies.
14) Eliminate the Federal income tax.
15) Many more things that I'm too tired to think of right now.

You have selective hearing. I have never said that Republicans didn't have a share of the blame for where we are now but when looked at along side the damage Obama is doing there is no comparison. I'm sorry if you see taking that stand as polarizing but sometimes the truth hurts. I for one have no doubt that BHO will bump Jimmy Carter and go down as the most damaging President ever to sit in the White House. I will try to minimize the damage he is doing by any legal means I can. Lisa

JC (the 2nd, not the original) did not do much damage, he just was not overly effective. Even then he would have been a two-termer if his helicopters had worked as well as BHO's. And W is the prime candidate for most damage ever. How much did it cost for BHO to actually get rid of OBL a couple weeks ago? How much money and lives did it cost for W's needless and ineffectual war in Iraq? Which one of the two spoke softly and carried a big stick?

Switzerland leaves everyone alone, and therefore everyone leaves Switzerland alone. Plus, the Swiss are pretty good at (and are downright serious about) national defence, and have a great militia system whereby everyone of age is well (and properly) armed. Would you expect less of the United States?

The Swiss also have a tax.

We have many legal taxes. No need for illegal ones.

Can you imagine how much money the government would rake in, with which to pay us all back for the Social Security contributions that we have made if they were to sell off all of the land and parks that they own? The swiss have compulsory health Ins., without a income tax how do you propose to support all the everyday infrastructure that we all use & take for granted? How do you pay for armed forces? Everythings easy to say but why not lat out a plan? Once half of the country is sold to foreign nations how long until the rest is gone?

Why should we take anything for granted? And besides, I have caught you using the classic (for you at least) Saul Alinsky method again, by your spinning totally away from the root fundamental argument that the Swiss are free and remain free because they leave others alone and therefore others leave them alone (and by inference that we could achieve the same lofty goal). You are very good at this.

Please don`t attempt to put words in my mouth. I thought O asked some serious questions which you give no answers to. Not trying to spin anything, like I said it`s easy to come out with some statements so please explain how we as a country would still be able to function. I don`t totally disagree with you on some points but I think it`s way too late to withdraw from the rest of the world unless we can survive alone. At this point in time most in this country not only have zero survival skills but wouldn`t want to sacrafice anything. If you would be happy to have no say in what ever form of gov. you would be living under all well & good. For myself I prefer to have some input, I don`t agree with everything that goes on but IMHO it hands down beats most if not all others.
