JC (the 2nd, not the original) did not do much damage, he just was not overly effective. Even then he would have been a two-termer if his helicopters had worked as well as BHO's. And W is the prime candidate for most damage ever. How much did it cost for BHO to actually get rid of OBL a couple weeks ago? How much money and lives did it cost for W's needless and ineffectual war in Iraq? Which one of the two spoke softly and carried a big stick?
I lv ths intls. Shd I tk up txtng?
I don't agree that JC would have been a two termer if the hostage rescue had worked. You forget people then couldn't use anything thing Carter did to feed their families or put gas in the car anymore than killing OBL is going to put food on the table or gas in my car today. BHO's bump for the successful SEAL operation is already gone.
I for one would not like to go back to the 70s. I guess your definition of damage is different from mine. I'm sure that some of us on the forum were new to the job market or just married trying to buy a house under Carter's administration. I'm sure they felt damaged by the Carter administration. I know my parents did trying to raise 6 kids on 1 salary. 18% on home mortages and gas lines wrapped around the corner aren't my idea of a good time. The money they spent just keeping up with inflation has never been recovered. Just out of curiosity have you been to the grocery store lately? I went last night. I didn't buy but about 1/2 as I usually do since we aren't going to be home this weekend and the final bill was more then I normally spend for an entire week's supplies. And this administration does nothing because of too many things to go into here. Let's just say the Obama administration has done nothing to put solid, problem solving solutions into effect that could really turn this economy around. To paraphrase Bill Clinton, it's the economy that matters and if I can't feed my family with it or put it in my gas tank, it doesn't keep my attention very long.
Just a point, how could you say Bush was the worst president ever? Granted he had his problems, but you'd have a hard time convincing me of that he was the worst since we were able to raise 3 kids, have a decent house and two cars all on one salary. What did Chico Marx say, "Who are you going to believe? Me or your own eyes? My eyes are showing me something totally different then what you are selling. Lisa
