You can still find pay phones in most areas where a lot of drug dealing is going on. The dealers use the pay phones because they know the cells aren`t private, & they protect the pay phones from being vandalized & sometimes from even being used by others.

I like that, a drug dealer with a sense of civic duty. :)

The milk truck brings back memories, they used to deliver here many years ago when I was really young. Still have the insulated milk box that was on the porch for delivery. You used to be able to go up to truck and buy pints of chocolate milk, the guy would even hand them out sometimes if your parents were customers and he was making a delivery.

The Divco truck brings back memories, I used to ride in one with my father when he was delivering milk. His was red with a white top.

Yup... pretty much as I remember. It was from dust getting in between brake shoes and the drums.

When we were kids and saw the milkman arriving on a hot day, we would ask him for a couple chunks of ice to eat. No refridgeration back then. All the milk was cooled with huge chunks of ice.

I have a friend that drives for Christiansen's dairy & they still use Divco milk trucks exclusively.

"Still Doing Divcos: Christiansen's Dairy in North Providence, RI still sends a fleet of Divco milk trucks onto the streets every delivery day."
