Today, you are either Republican, or Democrat. there is no middle ground. the extreme radicals have made sure of that.
Remember this, if your are shovelin' coal to heat your house, you probably are Not a multi millionaire, or should I say, a Romneyaire. and he ain't going to look out for Your backs. call obama a socialist all ya want, he does have your backs, some are just too clouded by well a financed campaign of total Mis information."Fox " combine that mis information with the inability to process logic and reason, and you have today's opposition voter.

Point being, I've seen the direction that BO has had us heading over the last 4 yrs--I may not be thrilled with the alternative, but I will vote for & support Romney & Ryan to give them the same opportunity. Those still hung up on RP---get over it & grow up

Do I detect here yet more trite and repetitive blather and antagonism devoid of any semblance of meaningful content, complements of an extreme radical?

Please dont vote for politicians it only encourages them.

I love this quote "Conservatives say if you don't give the rich more money, they will lose their incentive to invest. As for the poor, they tell us they've lost all incentive because we've given them too much money."

From my limited dealings with unions I think they are crooked. The unions iv dealt with appear to evade work and cry grievance at the stroke of a brush literaly (painters union). Im sure they were needed at one time but I think they have gotton greedy.

The US govt. works off a union structure . Of course they want to award bids to union contracts . The Military is one big union. You may have a worker at the top of the ranks but that doesn't mean he's smart or can do his job that well . It just means he put in his time and kept his mouth shut. The Govt. loves those who shut up and color .

On another note I dont always agree with "right to work " companies either. Big business is big business whether or not you have a union structure or not . The dollar will always win. I stay away from working for big companies the best I can. Hell just stop making me pay property taxes and I'll stop working for anyone and live off my land. But they do that on purpose to keep you in "the system"

Well, I'm a union guy and pretty extreme left on economic issues; regulation of financial markets, universal healthcare, steeply progressive taxation, strong wages for working people, regulated utilities... But I am deeply respectful of other's beliefs. One thing I really like about reading this board is that it keeps me pretty grounded in where people are coming from. On social issues, I'm pretty much a libertarian; if what you're doing doesn't hurt me, I don't care.

I'm relatively new to the forum, and I'd hate to step on any toes, but I find this premise extremely offensive, and I believe it may just be the exact reason our 2 sides can't work together.

You naturally ASSUME that since I'm not independently wealthy I NEED the government to protect me????? Let me inform you, I'm not independently wealthy and the only thing I need from our government is to get out of my wallet, off my property, and out of my bedroom. Obama has my back? Who asked him?

Yes, I shovel coal and cut firewood to heat my house, because I enjoy being responsible for my own life. Ever hear this quote, "I swear by my life and my love of it, that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine."? Pretty much goes against everything Obama stands for, now doesn't it? It rings true to me. What more can I say?
