Are you a Democrat or Republican? Redux

PostBy: Richard S. On: Sat Aug 08, 2009 10:19 am

We had some fun with this before in another topic, as it's after the election thought it might be interesting to see what results we get now. Keep in mind we're trying to have some fun with this so lets keep some civility. Thanks.

What I'm going to do is allow revoting, in other words you can change your vote in the future if your political views change. You still only get one vote but it will be automatically added or subtracted based on your selection. If you want to change your vote just select a different option and hit submit.

The original thread and results can be found here: Are you a Democrat or Republican?

Looks like I`m out numbered again, kind of like it that way. Was a lifelong republican until the gipper game along, hero to some - failure to others, he had some good quailities but IMO really screwed up the country. Even being a Dem. I can`t remember voting a straight party ticket. I wonder how many others split their vote?

I was going to add a "Please shoot me" option but figured that would be the one to get the vote.

I don't know maybe with all the new entitlement programs we''ll all get new stokers rather than have to work and save for them. Oh thats right I forgot BO's going to shut down the coal industry and if I remember correctly he didn't care who it would affect. So that's probably why there's a 3:1 difference because those that still think he's doing a great job burying the USA in his personal deficit didn't buy a coal burner. I do agree to vote all of them out and prosecute them for their actions and I did express this in one of them devil posts but then again I would never purposely stoke a fire then again where would the heat come from.

Looks as if the Independent category is having a strong showing. :D

I suspected this would be the case.

I would probably be independent if they had a prayer of getting elected. I figure I'd be throwing a vote away by going independent: you all know full well that it's gonna be either Democrat or Republican winning. For me, it would be too much of a risk to allow 1 lost vote to a Republican, allowing a Democrat in office. Basically, I vote for the party that's going to cause me the least amount of stress. Democrats do not fit that bill (for me) because they pander to people who are against every single solitary thing I do, be it work or play.

That didn't work out so well the last election, & I'm already feeling the heat from it ; My state taxes jumped 25%, my phone & satellite TV bills have all increased, my health care costs have risen 300%, & I now have even less of a chance of seeing any new off-roading areas opening up. I can't buy mercury for my carburetor sync. gauges any more, a carb cleaner that I've been using for almost 30 years has now been reduced to the potency of dish soap, new motorcycles are now getting heavier, slower & more expensive due to emissions standards thanks to all the treehuggers getting there way left & right during this new administration.

I've been getting out & enjoying myself alot more lately than in the past several years. Before, it was all about making money....... but now, I'm thinking I'd better enjoy myself before every last thing that I enjoy is outlawed, or taxed to death!!! :wtf:

These ARE the good ol' days. it's only going to get worse from here on out..............
ALCOHOL ....... it's what's for dinner! :drunk:

I'm prolly the last known republican up here in N.Y. After having a woman Democrat from Arkansaw move up here and get elected easily, Have her jump to Secretary of state. Have her replaced by a woman Democrat by a replacement Democrat governor who took over after the easily elected governor was caught using the services of a hooker. After all that in the course of a year, I think I want to move to upper Hudson Bay to escape the dumbasses. I heard Al Gore says that will be sunny ocean front property soon due to global warming. ;) Scott
I think a man does what he can, untill his destiny is revealed. Right now that is hauling 10 tons of coal at a time into the Great Northeast. Also trying to sell my EMf plate boilers in 350,520, and 700 sizes. And a harman vf3000, all priced right

Well I lean to the right, but now my choice today is more and more towards the Constitution Party. Its the third largest party and sure wish it was a choice to select from.
