We have some new forums, the "Technology" forum has bee split into many subforums for better organization. The following new forums have been created:

• Internet News Browsers and Related Software
• Video and Photography
• General Software - OS, Office, Email
• Computer Hardware
• Technical, Virus and Malware Problems
• Audio and Video for Home and Car
• Web Design, Development and Programming
• Games - Console and PC
• Cell Phones, Ipod and other small Devices

How about a forum for e-mail and data encryption? Also consider hosting an encryption key server for forum members.

I added a forum for security, anti virus etc.

Yes. The big problem with exchanging public keys is the trust implied in whom you exchange keys with. With the coal forum many people know each other personally. Those persons can exchange their keys via face to face exchange or telephone call. As more persons exchange keys personally a web of trust develops which allows you to trust other keys because people you do know vouch for others that you don't know but they do.

It's just a file isn't it? As in if I had section in the profile they could upload the file that would work? I've only read the specs on how it works, I've never used it in practice for email communication. The only experience I've had with it is on the server and for that they just had files.

I don't have much experience using it either. Just test cases with friends in which we personally exchanged keys which then resided on our own computers. I believe more people should be interested in using it. Not to cloak what they are saying but for purposes of being sure they are communicating with the person they think they are actually communicating with. That's why some e-mails from web security companies have PGP signatures attached to them. The text is clear text and you can be certain it came from the right sender and the text is not altered.
