Michael Vick's Been Signed

Michael Vick's Been Signed

Philadelphia Eagles signed Vick. In my opinion, he should never be allowed to be a role model for our children. Some of you will say he did his time, but I don't believe he should be rewarded by being given a 1.6 million dollar contract. I for one will not be watching any Eagles games this season.

I agree.

Personally I would not hire him to dig ditches or clean toilets, BUT! In keeping with our country's love of rehabilitation for criminals I would train him for a new sport.

He could display true courage and athletic ability to become the worlds first "Blindfolded Bullfighter"

Donna, I know you like the way I think.

Yours in service

 I cannot believe they signed Vick, in my wildest dreams I would have never thought they would be looking at him.

Guess they must figure Kolb is bust?

Having said that inserting Vick into the Eagles offense as runner/receiver/quarterback is going to cause some migraines for a lot defensive coordinators. You will effectively have two QB's on the field and Reid is known for the stunt plays. LOL gonna be circus this year.... Maybe even approach the excitement Randall brought to the game... mmmmmmm maybe that can't be topped.

I don`t think Vick will even finish out this season, he`ll go back to his old ways & violate his parole. I really didn`t expect any team to pick him up, just another example of whats wrong with sports today.

Well, he does have a PR problem. Now, if he gives a percentage of his earnings to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty
to Animals, he may earn redemption in
the public eye. Who knows?

I think this is more about Westbrook's unability to get back near 100%. And the fact McCoy is a rookie all though he looked really good in last nights preseason. Vick will be used to run certain plays near the red zone.

As far as the other stuff, there's a lot of bad people turned good in this world. Everyone needs a 2nd chance to prove it.

I suspect there are a lot of dog lovers among opposing players and even his own team who will make his career short and violent.

I just can't get the picture out of my head....perfect justice in my opinion, and good for the bull, too!

BK you're right, I do like your way of thinking.

Edited to add that in addition to donating a part of his income to animal shelters, he should also be required to speak at inner city schools about the horrors of dogfighting. I would volunteer to stand behind him with a cattle prod to "train" him if he didn't show the proper attitude.

I'm an animal lover, especially dogs. I've got two and have had dogs my whole life. Like most of you who are dog lovers, I consider them to be like my children. I think what Vick did was horrendous and inhuman. Having said all that, listening to him today, he sounded truly repentant. He's either really learned his lesson having gone to prison for two years or he could have another career in acting.

He is still ghetto. Not sure you can "unlearn" that. He will say what ever he is told to say by his agent in the hopes of
playing-paycheck.

Has anyone ever seen cockfighting? It it very barbaric. First you tie a 3" razor blade to the rooster's leg, then you and your opponent take your roosters and taunt each other until they are ready to fight. meanwhile everyone in the crowd is betting on the winner e.g.When Conan the barbarian was thrown into the pit in the beginning of the movie. The birds are let go. they immediately go right at each other. some fights last only seconds, others can last several minuits. The longer the fight, the bloodier it is. If you have a winner, you get to keep the looser and have chicken for dinner.

They are early pick for Super Bowl now, Vick might have just handed it to them. He makes stuff happen. He's explosive runner and as a bonus he can throw the ball. I can see it now... McNabb goes back to throw. Laterals it to Vick who runs right , he fakes the throw down field on the left side to Westbrook who is swarmed and bombs it out to his right to..... McNabb in the end zone.

Like I said Reid is know for the stunts, matter of fact they were doing better when he was more unpredictable like that. I think the first kick off of his professional career as head coach was a onside. I hope he turns it into a circus, at least it will be exciting.

Vick needs to be the holder on all kicks. Think of the possibilities. He can wildcat for 2pt conversions too. If they can have him touch the ball at least 5x a game, the defense will have to waste too much practice time planning. This in itself will help the Eagles offense as the defense isn't prepared for ordinary plays.
