What, I support FISA, Foreign monitoring of terrorist activity.

Domestic intelligence gathering for terrorist activity should have a sunset provision with review of scope and requests for renewal.

Quid pro quo..........

What does that have to do with Van Jones, a minor adviser on green jobs?

The only reason Van Jones is even in the news is because four years ago he co-founded an organization called color of change (colorofchange.org). That is the organization orchestrating an advertiser boycott of the Glenn Beck Sideshow Carnival. The boycott is pretty successful and this being a free market and all, without advertising dollars people like Beck don't stay on teevee very long and their unemployment checks run out even quicker. So, Beck is attempting some retaliation.

He's special advisor for green jobs to the Council on Environmental Quality. It's a nothing job given to political supporters. He's not even chairman of the Council on Environmental Quality. Nancy Sutley now runs the council.

How is the guy who is not even in charge of the organization he works for now the "czar"?

BTW, GWB packed the Council on Environmental Quality with oil lobbyists. It's a nothing organization where you park political cronies. That's not a good thing, but it's how business in DC has been done for years. It's certainly nothing like the idiotic conspiracies Glenn Beck spouts.

Dude, the White House would get that and much, much more from the NSA just by asking, GWB made sure of that. Expanded executive power is a double edged sword.

They don't need a CompSci 101 screen scraper hack to know more about you than you can possible imagine. The NSA copies and stores every bit that moves on the backbone in the US.

Yeah, total fabrications.

Originally from Tennessee, Jones graduated from Yale Law School in 1993. But his life took a turn after he was swept up in arrests during a rally following the Rodney King verdict.

Jones has claimed he was monitoring police activity at the time, but that he met people in jail who changed his thinking.

"I met all these young radical people of color -- I mean really radical, communists and anarchists. And it was like, 'This is what I need to be a part of,'" he said in a 2005 interview with the East Bay Express. Jones told the newspaper he stayed in San Francisco, and for the next 10 years worked with a lot of the people he met in jail. Months after the King verdict came down, Jones said, "I was a communist."

At the time he became involved with a group called Standing Together to Organize a Revolutionary Movement (STORM), which described itself as committed to Marxist and Leninist ideas. He also started putting pressure on police in San Francisco, monitoring and drawing attention to allegations of police brutality. He was quoted accusing the police department of "killing black people."

He won a lawsuit for false arrest and received damages for that.

But that's not the real point.

He's a nobody. He has a nothing job. He has no power. He's not even in charge of his own agency.

Who cares about Van Jones?

A storm is brewing alright. People are becoming tired of the bullcrap and the expense. Jones and his political allies are delusional or just plain fascists. The latter is the better bet, but then again they are chasing windmills.

You tell me what power his job wields. Why should anyone care about him? What can a special adviser who works at a middle level of a non cabinet level council do to effect your life?

Here's the website of the council where he works (mind you he does not run this council)

http://www.whitehouse.gov/administration/eop/ceq/

Tell me why you're worried about them?

He's a self avowed Communist, should I elaborate?

Who else in the administration agrees with his agenda?

Do you agree with his agenda?

Does America agree with a radical agenda?

When people like David Horowitz and Pat Caddell voice profound concern for the Democratic party and ultimately this Country, are they to be dismissed as well?
