Glenn Beck like most addicts just changed his addiction from acohol to what ever he can rant & rave about that keeps his ratings up. Just like Rush & others, run their mouths without putting their brains in gear. The saddest thing IMO is that so many regular people seem to hang on their every word.

I don't look at talk radio the way most people do. I look at them more on the same line as George Carlin except he was known as a comedian, Beck and the others are known as political commentators. G. Carlin played on words to make us laugh, Beck and the others just want to have any money thats in your pockets.
If Beck and the others know so much, why don't they make there own political party, run for all the seats, win, and make the changes that would help all of us out. Do you see the irony of that statement. They don't want to help us out they just want to make you mad about anything and everything so you don't take the time to do your own research and find out the truth and what really needs to be done. How many people voted for Obama in the last election, just over half the country. How many people listen to Beck and others, I don't think just over half the country does now do they.
I do listen to them on talk radio, when I'm driving and just sick of the same tunes I switch to the am dial and listen and laugh, knowing like so many others how silly they sound.
(Name me one thing that any of the talk show host have helped us with, to live a better life, with more money in our pockets, one thing just one.)

Never did like Rush Limbaugh, my Uncle listened too nothing but talk radio in the coal truck so I heard plenty of him up until 2000 when he retired. When he left I ripped the am/fm switch off the radio. :P (after switching it to FM of course). One thing I do credit them for is not trying to hide behind the cloak of unbiased journalism as many do.

Disprove (with actual facts) anything Beck has outlined.

You do know he commissions Universities, Professors and Lawyers to research and vet the topics he presents, right?

Perhaps you can cite the errors the aforementioned institutions have made with the data he commissions.

Glenn isn't outlining anything,

He's changing his opinion, on the same set of facts, for clearly political reasons.

In 2008 (right after his anal surgery) he says US health care is horrible. They try to rush you out the hospital door.

Now that someone (who happens to be a democrat) is trying to change the health care system that mere months before Glenn states is screwed up, Glenn calls this the greatest health care system in the world.

Do you see on the clip where he contradicts himself?

So because he felt he had a bad experience he should "shut up" and "get out of the way" (to quote Barack Hussein Obama) and fall in line with the steam train for Socialized medicine?

Well there is that clip of him going overboard about the EULA for the cars website. Whether he was aware of it or not he was on the dealer page and not the page for normal users but was trying to pass it off as if anyone visiting that site would be governed by that agreement.

His statements based on the same facts are inconsistent. The only thing that changed was the administration.

Either our healthcare system is now a "nightmare" or our healthcare system is "the greatest in the world". The two are mutually exclusive, it can't be both. Glenn was either full of it then, or he's full of it now.

Either that or he's a hyperbolic idiot who cares more about his ratings and influence than this country.

I think that can be said of any major news organization. The lasttruly credible journalist was Ted Koppel. There may be a few others out there but none that are really mainstream. There was a really good piece about Peter Jennings on PBS I think . I believe they specifically mentioned the MJ story when he was arrested and it was on the nightly news like every day. He flat out hated doing it but this is what the "news" has come too. It's no longer news but entertainment, news should be boring so to speak but the glitz it up and sensationalize everything and more often than not that everything is really irrelevant.

When the house passed the energy bill which along with health care is probably the single most important pieces of legislation in many decades and possibly a century my local newspaper had the MJ story front page. Front page of the national section you might think? :no2: Not on the first page, second or third page.... It was buried after the obituaries on like page 38 with a small snippet and prefixed the title with "Late Breaking News" The bill passed about 7 or 8EST so they had more than enough time to get it in there somewhere people would see it.

The problem is the news departments got rolled into the entertainment divisions.

Networks used to do news as a public service, at a loss, for the privilege of being granted free spectrum by the FCC.
