It wasn't a PO box, it was driven to my home and handed to me in person by my regular Mail Lady. She didn't even notice it said Fedex all over it. The receipt clearly showed it was a Fedex shipment.

One thing about the usps, it benefits all the masses, verses some other parts of the gov. like welfare that only benefits a majority that refuses to work for less than they are due in society :? All joking aside, really it does benefit everyone, why does it need to be a profitable orgnization. How much work did any branch of gov. ever make a profit in by providing a service ?????????????

It's not governments job to turn a profit. Their net at the end of the year should be ZERO.

Problem is, it's always a negative number.

Sure is. Just ask the MA state legislature why it's broke. Paying staties to watch guys dig ditches, at the tune of ... oh .... $85 AN HOUR! Every other state in the union uses flagmen at $15 an hour max. But hey, we're the "leaders' of the nation. Not to mention all the great cars, cell phones, licenses, food stamps, & other assorted benefits available to anyone who chooses to f-off in life .... legal resident, or not.

I for one wouldn't like to see the demise of the postal service.

I got a new laptop hard drive delivered from California for $6 and it took 3 days to get to Connecticut by USPS. At about the same time I ordered an enclosure for that drive from a company in Texas and it took ten days and cost $10 delivered by FedX.

UPS tends to lose my packages for a minimum of a month and when they do arrive, most of the time the box looks like it was dragged through a WWII battlefield by a dog.
